Where Can Your Curtains Be Used?
Anywhere there is track and a need for privacy, the CHANGE ME CURTAIN® system will work effectively. Typical locations include hospitals, surgery centers, physical therapy bays, and anywhere healthcare privacy curtains are needed.
What are curtains made from?
Our curtains are made from non-woven polypropylene. We chose this material very carefully to ensure they are electrostatic sprayer friendly, will not absorb liquid, or take hours to dry when sprayed like cloth curtains. They are fire retardant NFPA 701:2019 Test Method 1.
Why rods in place of mesh?
In most healthcare facilities, fire codes restrict curtain material from extending all the way up to the ceiling. In the past, mesh was the only compliant option, but it comes with multiple issues. The mesh section of curtains is seldom cleaned, posing a contamination risk. Moreover, mesh is prone to tearing over time when used with traditional hook systems, resulting in an unsightly environment for patients and frustration for hospital staff. The CHANGE ME CURTAIN® system replaces outdated, tangling hooks and mesh with a patented wheel carriage system and clear rods, allowing for smooth gliding and a cutting-edge appearance.
What size are your curtain panels?
Our curtain panels measure 100.5“ W (255cm) X 66” H (168cm). Panels easily snap together to fit any width area. Standardized curtain panels mean your facility can reduce inventory and there isn’t a need for complex storage because one size fits everywhere.
How do I measure for curtains?
Bannack Medical will provide a measurement form. To measure for your cubicle curtains:
-
Measure from floor to ceiling. This will determine the rod length best suited for your ceiling height. The bottom of the curtain will hang approximately 9 inches off the floor.
-
Measure the length of the existing track. For every 6 feet, one panel will be needed.
TIP: Ceiling drop-down grid is usually 2 feet by 2 feet so 3 squares = 1 curtain panel.
-
Take a picture of the ceiling track. This allows us to select the proper wheel carriage for your track.
Professional measurement by Bannack Medical® is also an option.

How often should I change my curtains?
The timer button on the curtain label monitors curtains for 6 months. You can change curtains anytime depending on need or hospital protocol.
What do patients say?
Patients experience greater satisfaction when they know that the curtains surrounding them are changed regularly. Research indicates that ninety-two percent of cloth privacy curtains in hospital wards and ICUs are contaminated with bacteria, as determined by culture swabs. The majority of these hospital curtains were found to harbor MRSA and VRE, presenting a potential pathogenic threat to both patients and hospital staff.
